6 Injured As Cab Plunges Into River Near Drass

At least six people were injured in a road accident near the Minamarg area of Drass on Tuesday morning.

An official said a Xylo vehicle (registration number JK07-4380), travelling towards Srinagar, met with an accident after the driver lost control and the vehicle plunged about 150 feet into the Drass River at Khushal Mor, under the jurisdiction of Police Post Minamarg.

They said six people, including the driver, were in the cab at the time of the mishap. Soon after the accident, a rescue operation was launched, and all six were rescued safely by police and shifted to SDH Drass for medical treatment.

In this regard, Police Station Drass has registered an FIR No. 65/2025 under sections 281 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
