Director Health Services Jammu Chairs Review Meeting on TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Jammu, October 29, 2025 — A review meeting on TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was today chaired by Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, Worthy Director Health Services Jammu, through virtual mode.

The meeting was attended by all Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) and District Tuberculosis Officers (DTOs) of Jammu Division, in the presence of Dr. Jyoti Jolly, State Tuberculosis Officer Jammu, and Dr. Ratesh Khullar, Controller of Stores.

The key agenda of the meeting focused on strengthening the implementation strategies under TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, reviewing the progress of ongoing initiatives, and ensuring effective inter-departmental coordination to accelerate efforts toward achieving a TB-free Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr. Zargar emphasized the importance of sustained surveillance, community awareness, and timely diagnosis and treatment to eliminate tuberculosis. He urged all district teams to intensify outreach and adopt innovative approaches to meet the national TB elimination targets ahead of schedule.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from all participants to work collectively and strengthen ground-level implementation for realizing the vision of a TB Mukt Bharat.
