Special Summer Kabaddi Camp Concludes with Success at SKISC

The Special Summer Kabaddi Camp, organized by the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association and the J&K Sports Council under the ‘My Youth My Pride’ initiative, concluded today at the Srinagar-Kashmir International Sports Complex (SKISC). The camp, which aimed to enhance Kabaddi skills and foster a competitive spirit among young players, received high praise from officials and participants alike.

Secretary of the J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Expressing her satisfaction with the outcomes of the camp, Gul stated, “We are proud of the progress made by the players and look forward to seeing them excel in future competitions.” She also distributed certificates to the participants, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.

Divisional Sports Officers Nusrat Gazala (Kashmir) and Javid Ur Rehman (Central) were present at the event and commended the players for their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the camp. They termed the camp a resounding success and reiterated their dedication to nurturing Kabaddi talent in the region.

The event saw notable attendees including Gulzar Ahmad, Secretary of the Amateur Kabaddi Association Srinagar; Nazir Ahmad, Secretary of the Kabaddi Association Budgam; and the Secretary of the Kabaddi Association Ganderbal. Each official extended their congratulations to the players, coaches, and organizers, praising the camp’s achievements.

Chief Coach Anil Sharma, Assistant Coach Firdous Rather, and Fitness Trainer Arshid Rather from J&K Police led the sessions, focusing on technical skills, physical conditioning, and tactical awareness. Their personalized coaching provided the players with valuable insights and mentorship, significantly improving their performance and skills.

The camp not only enhanced the players’ abilities but also fostered teamwork, sportsmanship, and a competitive spirit. Participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity and hope for similar initiatives in the future, emphasizing the positive impact of such programs on their athletic development.

The Special Summer Kabaddi Camp concluded with a sense of accomplishment and optimism for future endeavors in Kabaddi, promising continued growth and excellence in the sport within the region.
