Ritvik and Mishti Claim Top Honors at 2nd J&K Table Tennis Ranking Championship

Jammu, July 30: Ritvik secured the Men’s Singles title and Mishti Agarwal emerged victorious in the Women’s Singles final at the ongoing 2nd J&K Table Tennis Ranking Championship, organized by the J&K Table Tennis Association under the auspices of the J&K Sports Council.

In a thrilling Men’s Singles final, Ritvik overcame Sourav with a score of 3-1. Despite a fiercely contested match, Ritvik demonstrated exceptional skill and composure to clinch the championship. In the semi-finals, Ritvik had previously defeated Akash by 3-1, while Sourav narrowly edged out Maanay with a score of 3-2.

In the Women’s Singles final, Mishti Agarwal outplayed Nitya Arora, winning 3-1 to claim the title. The match showcased Mishti’s impressive form and strategic play.

The chief guest for the event, Sanjay Wahi, President of the J&K Table Tennis Association, was present to witness the finals and distribute prizes to the winners. Wahi expressed his commitment to supporting the growth of table tennis in the Union Territory and encouraged the champions to excel in national-level competitions.

Hops Girls (Under 11): Syrah Dewan defeated Alena Arora.

Hops Boys (Under 11): Saiyam Nischal won against Aarav Gandotra.

Cadet Boys (Under 13): Saiyam Nischal triumphed over Aadvik Garg.

Cadet Girls (Under 13): Myrah Dewan emerged victorious against Syrah Dewan.

Sub Junior Boys (Under 15): Ritvik Gupta defeated Ahaan.

Sub Junior Girls (Under 15): Nitya Arora won against Myrah Dewan.

Junior Boys (Under 17): Ritvik Gupta beat Hunny.

Junior Girls (Under 17): Nitya Arora triumphed over Mishti Agarwal.

Junior Girls (Under 19): Nitya Arora also defeated Mishti Agarwal.

Junior Boys (Under 19): Ritvik Gupta won against Madhav Sharma.

Men’s Category: Ritvik Gupta overcame Sourav Sharma.

Women’s Category: Mishti Agarwal defeated Nitya Arora.

Among the attendees were prominent figures including Baljinder Pal Singh (Divisional Sports Officer), Satbir Singh, Suraj Bhan (Manager of the Indoor Sports Complex), Rajan Sharma, IP Singh, Satish Gupta, Meenu Rajesh, Vasu Dewan, Narinder Singh, and Maninder Singh.

The championship highlighted the growing talent in the region and provided a platform for players to showcase their skills
