Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), stated on Tuesday that the INDIA bloc’s poll manifesto is set to become a comprehensive vision document aimed at propelling Bihar to the forefront among Indian states. The introduction of this manifesto comes as the state gears up for crucial elections.
In a conversation with media representatives, Yadav emphasized the coalition’s clear vision for Bihar. He stated, “We have a vision for the state and a roadmap for its growth. It (the manifesto) can also be called the ‘Tejashwi Pran Patra’ (Tejashwi’s Resolution Document).” With a promise of transformative policies, Yadav aims to inspire voters with concrete plans for governance.
The opposition coalition’s manifesto is set to be unveiled later today, creating significant anticipation among party members and constituents alike. By clearly articulating their strategies, the INDIA bloc seeks to connect with the electorate and solidify its position in upcoming polls.
Yadav was critical of the current ruling alliance, the NDA, for its lack of a clear narrative in the lead-up to elections. “The NDA has failed to declare its chief ministerial candidate or release its manifesto. We announced our CM face ahead of the polls and are releasing our manifesto today. What about the NDA? They have neither declared their CM candidate nor released their manifesto. They simply copy our promises,” he remarked. This criticism highlights the growing tension between the rival factions as they prepare for the electoral battle.
In his address, Yadav leveled direct accusations against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that both leaders have not facilitated meaningful progress for the state. “Whenever the PM comes to Bihar, he only abuses opposition leaders and indulges in negative politics,” Yadav charged. His statements resonate with many constituents who feel sidelined by the current administration.
The stakes are high as Bihar prepares for elections in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, scheduled for two phases — on November 6 and November 11. The counting of votes and the declaration of results will occur on November 14. With the announcement of the manifesto, the INDIA bloc aims to gain an edge in what could be a pivotal moment for Bihar’s political landscape.
