Man Detained Under Public Safety Act in Kathua for Alleged Anti-National Activities

A man allegedly involved in anti-national activities has been detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, police officials said.

The accused has been identified as Romelu Singh. According to police sources, Singh is a history-sheeter and was reportedly involved in activities considered prejudicial to the security of the region.

Officials stated that, acting on credible inputs and past records, authorities invoked the Public Safety Act to prevent further unlawful activities. Following the detention, Singh has been lodged in the district jail in Jammu.

The police reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and warned that strict action will continue against individuals found involved in activities threatening public safety and national security.
