Ramban, September 23: A tragic event unfolded on Tuesday evening as two police officers were discovered lifeless inside a Fiat Linea car at Ziarat Morh in the Sana area of Batote tehsil, Ramban district.
According to officials, locals found the officers unconscious around 8:30 PM in the vehicle with registration number JK-19/5299. Promptly reacting, they rushed the officers to District Hospital Ramban, where medical staff declared them dead upon arrival.
The deceased have been identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed (No. 408/Rbn), from Bhatti Ramban, and Selection Grade Constable Muhammad Yaqoob (No. 309/Rbn), hailing from Jatgali Ramban. Both men served at the District Police Lines (DPL) in Ramban.
The officials stated that the bodies are currently at the hospital, awaiting the completion of medico-legal formalities. An investigation is underway to determine the cause and circumstances of their tragic deaths, with police officials vowing to uncover the truth behind this incident.
