CM Omar Abdullah inspects development projects in Srinagar

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday conducted an early morning tour of the city to inspect development projects and review the progress of key civic works.

In a post on X, the chief minister’s office said the extensive tour of Srinagar city was conducted to assess public facilities and review the progress of key civic works aimed at improving urban infrastructure and public services.

During the tour, the chief minister inspected various sites, including the proposed bridge at Barbar Shah, it said.

“Once completed, the bridge will play a vital role in reducing traffic congestion for commuters heading into Shehar-e-Khaas, ensuring smoother transit and improved urban mobility,” the CM’s office said.

The chief minister also inspected the new building of the Maharaj Gunj Urban Primary Health Centre.

The upgraded facility blends modern healthcare infrastructure with the area’s rich historical character and will significantly strengthen patient care and healthcare delivery in the heart of ‘Shehar-e-Khaas’ (interior areas of the city), the CM’s office added.

Deputy chief minister Surinder Choudhary, Ministers, MLAs, CM’s Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, and senior officials accompanied the chief minister.
